Boxes ship free the first week of each month. Order by the 25th to lock in next month's box.

Can I skip, pause or cancel?
Yes. Skip a month, pause or cancel anytime from your account.

Can I give the Monthly Cookie Box as a gift?
Yes! Prepay a gift of 3 months (save 5%) or 6 months (save 10%):
  • Half Dozen: $97 for 3 months, $184 for 6 months
  • Dozen: $154 for 3 months, $292 for 6 months
The XL Box is monthly-only for now.

Can I pick up my box instead of shipping?
Absolutely. Pick up in Ferndale or St. Clair Shores and take $5 off your box.

Are your cookies nut free?
No. Our cookies are made in a small kitchen that uses shared equipment, and we process ingredients including milk, eggs, soy, wheat, dairy, and nuts. While some cookies may not contain nuts as an ingredient, we cannot guarantee they are free from cross-contamination.

I have a nut allergy. Can I still eat your cookies?
We take allergies seriously, but please note we cannot guarantee a nut-free environment.

All of our cookies are made in the same facility that processes wheat, eggs, soy, dairy, peanuts, and tree nuts. While we do our best to prevent cross-contact, there is always a risk of allergen exposure.

How long do the cookies last?
Five minutes, if you're lucky!

But seriously, our cookies are best enjoyed within 5 days for peak freshness. We don't use preservatives, so we recommend eating them fresh. That said, our cookies have been lab tested with a shelf life of up to 30 days.

Cookies packaged for shipping typically stay fresh for 6–10 days while sealed. For the freshest experience, store them in an airtight container or pop them in the freezer to extend their life!

How should I store my cookies?
All of our cookies are baked fresh without added preservatives! To keep them at their best:Short-term storage (best taste)
  • Enjoy your cookies within 5 days for peak freshness.
  • Do not refrigerate. It can dry them out and alter the texture.
Long-term storage
  • For longer storage, place cookies in the freezer (you can keep them in their original packaging if they are sealed in bags. If not, pop them in a sealed bag or container).
  • When you're ready to eat them, let them thaw at room temperature and enjoy!
Shelf lifeOur cookies have been lab tested for a shelf life of 30 to 45 days, but we recommend enjoying them within 5 days for the best flavor and texture.

What size are the cookies?
Our cookies are handcrafted and may vary slightly, but here's a general guide:
  • Regular cookies: approximately 2.5–3" in diameter
  • XL cookies: approximately 4.5–5" in diameter
Whether you go classic or XL, every cookie is baked with love and packed with flavor!

Do the cookie flavors change?
Yes! We bake from a list of fan-favorite cookie flavors. These are the classics you'll find on our regular menu that we bake daily.

Do you make custom cookies?
We do not offer custom cookie flavors. We only bake the flavors listed on our menu along with our current seasonal selections.

We also do not accept special orders for seasonal flavors that are not currently being baked.

How do I place an order?
Orders shipped via UPS
  • All shipping orders must be placed online through our website. Head to the Shop to start your order.
  • All regular-sized cookies are packaged in packs of 2, no exceptions.
  • XL cookies and PB Volcanos are packaged individually.
  • Please check our Shipping FAQ below for more details on shipping times and freshness.
Pickup ordersYou do not need to order ahead to walk in and buy cookies. We love in-store visitors! But if you'd like to schedule a same-day pickup, use Order Pickup and select your preferred location.

Note: orders of 5 dozen or more OR those requiring individually wrapped cookies are considered catering orders. Please email sales@detroitcookieco.com to arrange those larger or specialty orders.Catering ordersHave a big event or need individually wrapped cookies? Is it safe to use my credit card online?
Yes! Your payment information is safe with us. We use Square, a certified and secure payment processor, to ensure all transactions are encrypted and protected. Your privacy and security are our top priorities.

Can I choose the flavors in the Top Selling Bundle?
Yes, you're welcome to request flavors! However, please keep the following in mind:
  • All cookies are packaged in packs of two, so if you order the 1 Dozen Top Selling Bundle, you'll receive 6 different flavors (2 of each).
  • Flavor requests can be added in the notes section at the very end of checkout along with your gift note.
  • We'll do our best to honor your requests, but some flavors may not be available due to daily inventory.
  • Specialty items such as PB Volcanos, XL cookies, and Blondies are not included in the Top Selling Bundle.

Do you ship?
Yes! We ship our delicious cookies anywhere within the United States via UPS Ground and UPS 2 Day Air.
  • Orders are shipped Monday through Friday. We do not ship on weekends or major holidays.
  • Please note: UPS 2 Day Air does not deliver on weekends, so consider this when choosing your shipping method.
  • Shipping time begins once your order leaves our bakery, not at the time of purchase.
  • Orders placed after 9am on Friday will usually ship out the following Monday, packed fresh.
  • Shipping costs are based on the total weight and destination of your order and are calculated by UPS at checkout.

Do you deliver?
Yes! We offer both local delivery and nationwide shipping:Local same-day deliveryWe partner with DoorDash and Uber Eats for same-day local deliveries. Are cookies shipped with a cooling pack?
Nope. Our cookies are not shipped with ice packs or in a cooler. But don't worry, they travel well and typically arrive in great condition, even during warmer months!

What should I know about freshness & shipping schedules?
Freshness
  • Our cookies are baked fresh daily with no preservatives.
  • Sealed in their packaging, cookies stay fresh for 6–10 days.
  • If you're not able to enjoy them right away, our cookies freeze beautifully. Just let them thaw at room temperature before eating.
Shipping policies & schedule
  • Orders ship Monday through Friday.
  • Most orders ship out the next business day after they're placed.
  • During peak times or holidays, shipping may take a bit longer, but we promise they're worth the wait!
  • We ship via UPS: UPS Ground delivers to residences Monday–Saturday, UPS delivers to businesses Monday–Friday, and UPS does not deliver on Sundays.
Advanced ordering
  • You can place your order up to 10 days in advance.
  • If you have a preferred delivery date, add it to the notes section at checkout.
  • We'll do our best to honor your request, but please note that exact delivery dates are not guaranteed due to factors like weather or carrier delays.

How are cookies packaged for shipping?
All shipped cookies are sealed fresh and packed for maximum deliciousness!
  • Cookies are shipped in packs of 2 of the same flavor (we don't mix flavors in a 2-pack; this helps maintain freshness and quality!)
  • XL cookies and Peanut Butter Volcanos are packaged individually
  • Each pack is sealed in a resealable bag with a flavor sticker for easy identification
  • All cookies are safely packed in a shipping box with bubble wrap
  • You can add a Detroit Cookie Co. branded gift box at checkout, totally optional, totally cute

When will my shipped order arrive?
We ship using UPS Ground and UPS 2-Day Air. Orders typically ship the next business day. During holidays or busy times, please allow an extra day or two for processing. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your order's weight and destination.UPS Ground
  • Michigan orders: 1–2 business days after shipping
  • Out-of-state orders: 2–5 business days after shipping
  • Note: delays may occur during holidays or due to weather.
UPS 2-Day Air
  • Estimated to arrive 2 business days after your order ships

  • Saturday and Sunday do not count as transit days (for example: an order placed Thursday ships Friday evening and typically arrives Tuesday)

Can I choose a delivery date for my shipping order?

My order arrived damaged or an item is missing. What should I do?
Oh no! We're so sorry something wasn't right with your order. Please email us at sales@detroitcookieco.com and include:
  • Your order number
  • A description of the issue
  • Photos (if your package or items arrived damaged)

Can I change the shipping address for my order?

Once your order has been processed and shipped, we're unable to make changes, so don't wait to reach out!

Should I place a catering order or order online for same-day pickup?

Can you individually package & label the cookies?
Yes! Packaging is available upon request, but must be ordered in advance. Any pickup order with packaged cookies is automatically considered a catering order.

We can package cookies individually or in packs of 2, sealed and labeled with flavor stickers.

Please note: packaged cookie orders take additional time to prepare, so be sure to plan ahead! To place your order or get pricing info, please email us at sales@detroitcookieco.com. Let us know how we can sweeten up your event!

How do I place a catering order?

How far in advance should I place my catering order?
We accept catering orders up to 30 days in advance of your desired pickup date.

Please try to give us at least 5 days' notice for your order. While we may be able to accommodate shorter timeframes, more notice helps us ensure everything is perfect and ready for you!

Do you offer bulk discounts?
Yes! We offer discounted pricing for large orders. Please email us at info@detroitcookieco.com or fill out the contact form to inquire about current bulk pricing and availability.

How do corporate orders work?

Do you make cookie cakes? How do I order one?
Yes, we do! Our cookie cakes are made to order and perfect for any celebration, but they must be preordered and are pickup only.
  • Fill out the Cookie Cake Order Form
  • Prefer email? Send your order to sales@detroitcookieco.com with: pickup date & time, pickup location (Ferndale or St. Clair Shores), cake flavor, and text for decoration (25 characters max)
Please allow 5 days' notice for all cookie cake orders. Our catering manager will follow up ASAP during Monday–Friday business hours.

What sizes do cookie cakes come in, and how much are they?
  • 9" Round: $30

  • 9" Heart Shape: $30

How do I get my hands on a cinnamon roll?
We bake our famous cinnamon rolls Saturdays & Sundays only! We recommend coming early when we open because they often sell out fast. We make as many as our fridges can hold, but these gooey treats are a hot commodity!
  • No pre-orders or call-aheads accepted. It's strictly first come, first served.
  • We do not ship cinnamon rolls.
  • Sometimes they're gone in 10 minutes, sometimes they last up to 5 hours. Feel free to call ahead to check availability!

Do you offer anything besides cookies?
Yes, we've got more sweet treats and goodies beyond cookies! Here's what else you can find at our stores:

Yes, we do, and we roast it ourselves! We proudly serve and sell locally roasted coffee in a variety of styles to satisfy every coffee lover.Drip coffeeLooking for a classic cup? Do you sell ice cream?
Yes, we do! We proudly serve Ashby's Ice Cream at all of our storefront locations. Flavors rotate regularly, so there's always something new to try! Come by and treat yourself to a scoop (or two! or three!) of your favorite flavor, or try one of our ice cream sandwiches custom made with our cookies!

Do you sell cookie dough?
YES! We offer our Frozen Take & Bake Cookie Dough in stores, perfect for baking fresh Detroit Cookie Co. cookies at home!Available flavorsChoose from 5 of our top-selling favorites: Chocolate Chunk, Birthday Cake, Banana Pudding, Peanut Butter and Circus Snack.Price & size$18 per tub. Each tub contains 24 oz of dough and makes about 1 dozen cookies.Baking instructionsPortion the cookie dough into 2 oz scoops as desired. Bake at 350°F for 11–14 minutes, depending on your preference: 11 minutes = soft & doughy, 14 minutes = crispy edges.

Important: every oven is different! Start checking your cookies around 10 minutes to prevent overbaking.

How do I bake the frozen Take & Bake dough?
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F
  2. Scoop your desired size cookie dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet
Baking times
  • 1 oz (tablespoon-sized) cookies: bake for 9–12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown
  • 2 oz (standard-size) cookies: bake for 11–14 minutes at 350°F
Pro tips
  • Ovens vary, so keep a close eye while baking!
  • Rotate the pan halfway through for even baking
  • Cookies continue to set as they cool, so don't overbake if you like them gooey inside!
